young, wild and free

So what we get drunk?
So what we smoke weed?
We’re just having fun
We don’t care who sees
So what we go out?
That’s how its supposed to be
Living young and wild and free

Lyrics to live by, especially for my friend and I. =D

Busy busy busy! Here's an outfit that I wore last week before going out to...I forgot where. My days have been work then out with friends for the last seven days or so straight. But hey, I'm young and a full time job... it's time to enjoy!

Oh! I also got to see Thomas Gold at Ruby Skye in SF last week. It was amazing! I wish I had clear pictures from that night, but his set only made me more excited for Ultra Music Festival in Miami NEXT WEEK! EEEKKKK!

Rain rain go away...

Aside from the rain we received this week, it quickly went away. The beautiful odd weather returned. It was either SF to shop or wine taste in the outdoors. So the latter it was. Maybe I consume too much alcohol for my own good? First stop was Wente Winery then Retzlaff Vineyards.

The pictures were taken a little rushed. -__- Sorry!

we've come a long way since that day, and we will never look back

It's been so busy since Lunar New Year has arrived. Cleaning and cooking and more cleaning. SO TIRED. But I am excited to eat all the Tet(Vietnamese for New Year) food. All this food for some reason only comes once a year, esp my aunt's homemade banh chung. Nom nom! But it does make me sad a bit since I am too old to receive li xi (red envelopes). =( So I opted to give out li xi despite the tradition that you are supposed be married to hand it out. And it's definitely strange that this year Tet fell in January.

Anyhow, I am so ready for this spring/summer to arrive. I wasn't able to find any cute clothing for winter, therefore I keep purchasing clothing for the upcoming seasons. It hasn't been much of a "cold" winter until recently. Boo! Here's a post of what I look forward to be wearing soon sans jacket of course.

I'mma do it for the Bay, okay -- YOLO

We headed to the city recently. I tried learn how to utilize my camera (Canon S95) before upgrading to a Canon Mark 5D, my dream camera. I told a friend about this camera and even HE ended up getting it before me. SADFACE. I am sure he'll allow me to borrow it sometimes ;] First stop was Treasure Island with it's breathtaking view of San Francisco and the Bay Bridge. Here's what I wore! Excuse the clarity of the images, there was a slight fog. What's new right?

Tea for Two

Tea with the bestie last month. We went to Secret Garden in the city. We ordered two teas and the Bedford's Delight. Per usual, each platter had the scones on the bottom tray, sandwiches on the second tray and the desserts on the top tray. It was a beautiful day so we pulled over on a random street and took pictures. I don't know how some people do it outside the comforts of their own home. Lol soo many bystanders.

take a shot for me-- goodbye 2011

It's been relatively busy. Family and friends visited during the holidays, thank goodness I was able to take some days off to keep them company. My New Year's was completely unplanned. We did not purchase tickets anywhere, and those places free were ridiculously crowded. Somehow after our dinner at Wine Cellar in Los Gatos and our FAILED attempt to bar hop, we ended up at my house for some drinks and countdown. Here's what I wore for New Year's Eve. I would've taken pictures at home, but per usual, I got ready too late and rushed out of the house to make it in time for our reservations.

For some odd reason the flash would not turn on automatically during my solo pic and coat on during the picture below, it was FREEZING.

I'll have a blue blue Christmas

It's that time of year when everything is hectic and you feel like you just never have enough time! I've been super busy with work since everyone is trying to squeeze in their PTO. Not to mention I finished all my Christmas shopping TODAY! Well, minus the White Elephant gifts for my family's annual Christmas dinner. Talk about procrastination. The shopping gods must have been on my side today because I found parking right at the entrance of the mall as soon as I drove up the parking garage. EXCITE. Anyhow, since it was my day off, I went to the store to purchase what I needed to bake my team some cookies, ingredients for my dish I am bringing to my family's Christmas dinner then to the mall. So here is my outfit post!

December Wedding Bells

This Saturday was my cousin's wedding day. I was only able to take pictures of what I chose to wear in the evening. Not that many photos either, I always underestimate the time I need to get ready in time, I even forgot to put on earrings. -___- It's alright because it is not my day, it is the bride's day. Anyhow, I love weddings, they bring everyone together!

Our place settings (my Vietnamese name is Thy)

I love the meaning behind the cranes on each person's place setting. According to Japanese tradition, senbazuru is folding one thousand cranes. By completing this act before the wedding, the couple will ensure a blissful marriage. My cousin and her now husband must've spent hours folding these! Weddings that incorporate two different cultures, in this case Vietnamese and Japanese are always a learning and interesting experience.
